1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include localStorage and other client-side storage.

2. Who is responsible?

3. Cookies and storage dakkda uses

• Strictly necessary / functional — theme preference (localStorage.theme) so the marketing site remembers light or dark mode. The help center may read the same value if present. This does not require consent under AEPD guidance for essential functionality.
• Strictly necessary / cybersecurity (when demo form is live) — Cloudflare Turnstile may set a short-lived cookie or similar storage on the marketing site to verify that a demo request is submitted by a human (abuse prevention). The demo form uses Turnstile in managed mode. See the Privacy Policy and Cloudflare’s Turnstile Privacy Addendum.
• Help center search (first-party) — Pagefind on help.dakkda.com loads a local search index and runs queries in your browser. It does not set advertising or analytics cookies.
• Web fonts — both sites load Poppins from Google Fonts. This is a third-party network request (not an advertising cookie). See the Privacy Policy for how Google may process technical data.

dakkda does not use advertising cookies, analytics scripts, or third-party embedded media on these public websites today. If that changes, this policy will be updated first and a consent mechanism will be added where required.

4. Managing preferences

You can clear site data (including theme preference) in your browser settings. On the marketing site, changing the theme control in the header updates the stored preference immediately.
